The Central Government announced the addition of skilling females in non-traditional livelihood (NTL) alternatives as part of the expansion of the mission of its flagship programme, “Beti Bachao Beti Padhao” (BBBP Scheme).

- Introducing legislation to end child marriage
- 1% increase in secondary enrollment, especially in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) courses.
- Yearly training for women and girls focusing on-traditional livelihoods.
- Expanding awareness of proper menstrual hygiene
- The integration of multiple ministries to deliver high-quality education (including vocational education) to empower girls was also emphasised by MW&CD.
About Beti Bachao Beti Padhao (BBBP)

- National Scheme of Incentive to Girls for Secondary Education : To promote enrolment of girl child in the age group of 14-18 at secondary stage
- Scheme for Adolescent Girls : Providing a supportive environment for self-development during the age of 11-14.
