- Bilateral Visits: High-level visits between the two countries have helped strengthen bilateral ties. Indian leaders and officials have visited Niger, and vice versa, to promote cooperation and exchange views on regional and international issues.
- Areas of Cooperation:
- Agriculture and Food Security: India has extended support to Niger in the fields of agriculture, irrigation, and food security through various projects and initiatives.
- Solar Energy: Given Niger’s abundant sunlight, India has been involved in promoting solar energy projects and capacity-building efforts in Niger.
- Healthcare: India has offered medical assistance, training, and capacity-building programs in the healthcare sector in Niger.
- Trade and Investment: Although trade volumes might be relatively modest, efforts to enhance economic cooperation and explore trade opportunities have been ongoing.
